Motorcycle Crash Leaves One Man Dead
Gilbert Police Report Fatal Accident
Gilbert police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on Monday afternoon. According to police, the crash happened around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Gilbert Road and Val Vista Drive.
The motorcyclist, identified as 25-year-old Gilbert resident Nicholas Rooke, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say Rooke's motorcycle collided with a car that was turning left onto Val Vista Drive from Gilbert Road. The driver of the car, a 67-year-old Gilbert woman, was not injured.
