The Longest Drive in PGA Tour History

Max Homa Blasts 477-Yard Drive at The Sentry Tournament of Champions

New Record Set on the Seventh Hole at Kapalua Resort

Kapalua, Hawaii - American golfer Max Homa has etched his name in the PGA Tour record books with the longest drive ever recorded in the Tour's StatLink Era, which began in 1983.

On Saturday's third round of The Sentry Tournament of Champions at Kapalua Resort, Homa unleashed a prodigious tee shot on the par-5 seventh hole, measuring an astounding 477 yards. The drive surpassed the previous record of 476 yards set by Davis Love III at Kapalua in 2004.

Homa's remarkable drive was part of a day where the field at Kapalua showed off their long-hitting abilities. The average drive on the seventh hole on Saturday was an impressive 406.3 yards, the longest of any hole on the Plantation Course.

The 477-yard bomb is a testament to Homa's immense power and accuracy. The 32-year-old has been a rising star on the Tour in recent years, with four PGA Tour victories to his credit. His victory at the 2023 Farmers Insurance Open last month marked his third consecutive top-10 finish.

Homa's record-breaking drive will surely be remembered as one of the most memorable moments in PGA Tour history. It showcases the incredible athleticism and skill of the world's best golfers and sets a new benchmark for what is possible on the golf course.
